Skate beside the Tudor facade on the approach to Hampton Court Palace from 20 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, excluding Christmas Day. The first session is at 10:00 and the last at 20:00. The rink is at Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, Surrey, KT8 9AU.
A separate ticket is required. Palace admission is not included with an Ice Rink ticket, and palace admission does not include skating.
The outdoor rink has Hampton Court Palace's Tudor facade as its backdrop, with festive lighting around the approach to the palace. Wear warm layers suitable for the weather and time of day. Icebox Live operates the rink in association with Historic Royal Palaces as a separate operator and ticketing business.
Each session lasts 45 minutes from the start of the booked time slot. Arrive 30–40 minutes early for entry and skate fitting. Skate hire is included.

Student tickets require valid ID at booking and check-in and are available for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday sessions only, up to Thursday 18 December. A Family Ticket covers either one adult and three children, or two adults and two children; onsite staff may refuse entry if it is used for the wrong number or ages of people.
Wheelchair users are welcome at any session, although quieter weekday sessions before 15:00 are recommended. One carer per disabled skater is free; proof of disability is required at booking and the carer must stay on the ice. For groups of 10 or more, per-person rates are £16.20 for adults and £13.95 for children. Corporate enquiries and private hire are available for groups of 30 or more.
Under-3s cannot skate. Children aged 3–12 must be accompanied on the ice by an adult aged 18 or over at all times, and one adult may supervise up to five children. A non-refundable £1.50-per-ticket online booking fee has applied in past seasons but is not confirmed for 2026/27. Season passes are no longer offered. Quiet & Calm sessions are held at 10:00 every day the rink is open, with reduced capacity, static lights and quieter music. They are designed for disabled visitors and parents with toddlers. Previous seasons featured an adults-only skate every second Friday with a DJ and festive drinks, but specific 2026/27 dates remain TBC.
Skate hire is included in sizes from junior 8 to adult 14. Visitors may bring their own skates without a discount. Bob-skates for younger children are first come, first served. Skate aids cost £6 and are hired at the rink, subject to availability. Child skate aids are for children under 120cm; staff measure height. Children above 120cm and up to shoe size 1 can use bob-skates. Helmets are free and can be pre-booked or requested onsite, subject to availability.
Skaters must be at least 3 years old. Children under 13 must be accompanied on the ice by an adult aged 18 or over, with one adult supervising no more than five children. Skating is not recommended for people with serious illnesses or heart conditions, or for pregnant women. First aiders or medics and skate marshals are onsite. No waiver is required.
Bags are not allowed on the ice, and cloakroom storage is limited. Selfie sticks and GoPro sticks are prohibited while skating. Non-skaters can use the free viewing platform by telling staff at entry, and spectators may film from there.
One carer may receive a free ticket for each disabled skater. Accepted evidence is a Blue Badge, DLA, PIP or Adult Disability Payment letter, proof of registered severe sight impairment, a CredAbility Access Card with a +1 icon, an Attendance Allowance letter, or Assistance Dog ID. The carer must remain on the ice.
Wheelchair users are welcome at every session. There is no wheelchair weight limit, but electric wheelchairs must be set to manual mode on the ice. Guide and assistance dogs may enter the skate exchange and spectator areas, but not the ice.
The onsite Skate Exchange cafe and bar is styled after the palace's historic Orangery. Run in partnership with Admirable Crichton catering, it offers coffee, pastries, festive food and drink, and a bar.
Some weather can create a thin layer of water on the ice. This is not unsafe, although it may be less comfortable after a fall. The rink remains open and closes only in extreme circumstances. If a session is cancelled because of weather, tickets can be rescheduled; booking fees are non-refundable.
Direct trains take about 35 minutes from London Waterloo to Hampton Court station. Its car park is 200 metres from the palace entrance. From Kingston use bus routes 111, 216, 411, 461 or 513; from Richmond use R68. By car, use M25 exit 10 then the A307, exit 12 then the A308, or the A3 then A309.
Onsite parking is £1.60 per hour, card or Glide app only, for standard cars. Nine accessible bays are free for Blue Badge holders. Hampton Court Green is 500 metres away and costs £1.50 per hour; its overflow area locks at 18:45. Walton Road Car Park, East Molesey KT8 0DL, has 151 spaces. Coach bays on Hampton Court Green are first come, first served; onsite coach parking is by special arrangement.
